“What started as a love for woodworking in high school has become a family business that has grown beyond my dreams”
I started Whatman Hardwoods in 1991. It began with a portable sawmill doing custom sawing. Later I added a small kiln to dry the sawn lumber and a small woodworking shop where I made furniture and other household wooden items. In 2008, reclaimed barn wood material was added to the material I use in manufacturing furniture, doors, and flooring.
Demand for my products and services have grown from a local and statewide market to national sales with the help of the internet.
Each of our items is made with pride and quality craftsmanship to the customer’s specifications.
